About Knots Studio

What is Knots Studio?

Knots Studio is a design studio founded in 2013 by Neta Tesler, a graduate of the Textile Department at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design. We make sculptural, handmade home decor: hand-tied velvet knot ottomans and knot pillows, woven velvet benches and stools, and Hull storage baskets. Read our story.

Are your products handmade?

Yes. Every piece is made by hand by our team. The wooden rings that hold our knot ottomans together are turned by hand by our wood turner.

Where are you located?

Our design studio is in Tel Aviv, Israel. All orders ship from our US warehouse in Houston, Texas.

What is a knot ottoman?

A knot ottoman is a large velvet floor cushion tied into a sculptural knot and held together with handmade wooden rings. Use it as extra seating, a footrest or a pouf. It comes in large and medium sizes, in mauve, citron, ivory, petrol, truffle, burgundy and sterling silver velvet. Shop knot ottomans.

What are the woven benches and stools made of?

Each bench and stool is made from soft velvet bands, hand-woven over a natural beechwood frame. Benches come in 37" and 47" lengths. Colors include citron, ivory, petrol, truffle, mauve, burgundy and sterling grey. Shop the woven collection.

What are Hull baskets made of?

Hull baskets are handmade from ultra suede, with a shape inspired by boat building. They come in small, medium and large, or as a set of three, in stone, cobalt blue, red earth and graphite. Shop Hull baskets.

Do your throw pillows include an insert?

Yes, all of our pillows include an insert.

Do I need to assemble my order?

Our woven stools and benches need basic assembly with only 4 screws. All other items arrive pre-assembled.

Can I see the fabric colors before I order?

Yes. You can order fabric swatches for $10 on the product page, so you can see and feel our fabric colors at home before choosing a piece.

How do I clean and care for my Knots Studio piece?

Our ottomans, pillows, benches, stools and baskets are made from a very durable polyester fabric that is easy to clean. Wipe the piece with a damp towel when needed, and vacuum it once a week to keep it fresh. Our knotted placemats are 100% cotton and can be machine washed cold on a gentle cycle.

Shipping

How long will it take to receive my order?

In-stock items ship from Houston, Texas within 1-2 business days. Estimated delivery is 5-7 business days in the USA and Europe, 7-10 business days in Asia, and 7-14 business days to the rest of the world. Made-to-order pieces, such as our Buoy cushions, take 10-15 business days to make and ship.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide from Houston, Texas. Customs duties and import taxes may apply to international orders, and these are the buyer's responsibility.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping fees depend on the items, the shipping method and your address. Add your items to the cart and enter your address to see the exact cost.

How do I track my order?

We ship with UPS or DHL. Once your order ships, we'll email you the tracking details.

What if my package is lost or delayed?

We'll contact our shipping agent to locate it. If it can't be found, we'll send you a replacement at no extra cost.

Returns and exchanges

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Email us at info@knots-studio.com and we'll send you a prepaid shipping label. Items must be new, undamaged and in their original protective packaging. Final sale items can't be returned. Read the full policy.

Are there any fees for returns?

Exchanges and returns for store credit are free. For refunds to your original payment method, the return shipping cost is deducted and a $10 processing fee applies.
